S&C Logo

Welcome to S & C Insurance Advisers, a Member Broker of Insurance Advisernet NZ.

Established in 2021, we work with a select number of clients across New Zealand.

S & C Insurance was founded on the values of integrity, honesty and giving good advice and finding insurance solutions for our clients needs. We believe in a strong personal service approach and technology will play a part to, but not the be all in the way we work for you. We are 100% locally owned and operated, based in Rolleston, focusing on the Selwyn & wider Canterbury region.

As business owners ourselves, we understand where the risk and value is in a business. We appreciate the daily commitment required to run a business and the importance of being able to rely on trusted professionals for the services outside of your primary business operations. Working closely with you, our focus is to ease the ‘labour of insurance’, allowing you to focus on what you do best – running your business successfully.

Sam

Our Principal

Sam Baker

Sam brings a wealth of experience with him, having worked for FMG, Crombie Lockwood and PIC, before starting his own broking business, Selwyn & Canterbury Insurance Advisers.

Sam is thankful for the opportunities he’s been given over his career, which have enabled him to discover his passion for commercial and business insurance. “I have a vision to get back to what I believe a lot of clients are missing – having someone with knowledge and experience who cares about their outcome if the worst case happens and isn’t just trying to make a sale.”

    Testimonials

Sam took the time to understand my many and varied businesses, was patient as my various partners asked him questions and asked for clarity. We now have a road map for each company that best suits the commercial activities and level of risk for the various board members. If you have a complicated company, Sam is an excellent adviser to work through insurance options and make the right choice for your company.

    Camia Young

Our company works in a niche market of flood protection and civil works dewatering projects in New Zealand & Australia, where we have a wide range of insurance requirements. Sam has been the key to being able to organise our insurance needs, which has been a challenge for him at times. His perseverance in finding the right insurance product for us has taken his search off shore on many occasions. Sam is very professional to work with and provides a top level of insurance service to us. He is a credit to the insurance industry.
